Job Purpose

The Systems and Technical Support Administrator role is to help design, monitor, and maintain the organization’s hardware and Microsoft 365 infrastructure, as well as provide support to the organizations users in resolving day to day IT issues. The Systems and Technical Support Administrator also supports the Business Systems and Integrations Manager and VP of Operations with planning and coordinating the processes and activities related to the development, delivery and integration of software programs, applications, and third-party solutions as required to meet the businesses requirements. This individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist the business on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical hardware and software systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Systems Administration

    • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
    • Ensure all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up.
    • Perform disaster recovery tests.
    • Manage systems and users through active directory and group policy.
    • Assist in the repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted parties.
    • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
    • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
    • Assist in Desktop hardware and software procurement and deployment.
    • Assists with the correction of any system failures, contact point for computer problems.

    Help Desk and Technical Support

    • Troubleshooting issues and outages
    • Setup and install of hardware, software, networks, and systems
    • Provide support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
    • Log all help desk interactions in ticketing software
    • Develop and communicate training and documentation for end users and team members.
    • Troubleshoot EDI automation errors


  • Qualifications & Experience

    • Degree or certificate in computer systems design or computer science, and/or equivalent work experience.
    • Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
    • Working knowledge of current network protocols, and standards.
    • Experience with Office 365 environment, including SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
    • Management and maintenance of Active Directory and Group Policy
    • Proven experience in overseeing the linking of cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems.
    • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data mapping.
    • Strong knowledge of system and data quality assurance best practices and methodologies.

    • Python development language
    • Experience in warehousing, 3PL and ecommerce.
    • TrueCommerce Transaction Manager
