At Virtual Supply, we’ve never measured success solely by the partnerships we build or the milestones we reach. Instead, we measure it by the impact we make on our team members and the communities we call home.
That belief comes to life through our VS Cares tagline, it’s our commitment to giving back.
Each year, our team steps away from our desks and duties for our annual Day of Engagement. This year, our team joined one of eight nonprofit partners, lending their time and talents to organizations including: the Oregon Humane Society, Oregon Food Bank, YMCA, Bridge Meadows, New Avenues for Youth, Centro Mercado, Candlelighters Foundation, and the Beaverton School District.
The work looked different at every location, but the purpose was the same: serve the organizations that serve Oregon. Some team members sorted thousands of pounds of pet food at the Oregon Humane Society, while others organized clothing donations at the Beaverton School District’s free clothes closet. At New Avenues for Youth, volunteers cleaned and refreshed a community kitchen that serves young people experiencing housing instability.

Elsewhere, a team spent the day assembling basketball hoops at the YMCA, proving that sometimes it takes nine employees to install a single screw when lots of laughs are involved. Another served ice cream sundaes and played games with families at Bridge Meadows, while others sorted food at the Oregon Food Bank to help ensure thousands of meals reached neighbors facing food insecurity.
But community engagement isn’t limited to a single day each year. Every employee receives a paid volunteer day to support a cause that’s personally meaningful to them. Throughout the year, our team can be found cleaning Oregon trails and parks, delivering meals through Meals on Wheels, volunteering in community gardens, participating in charity races, organizing neighborhood cleanups, and supporting dozens of local nonprofits in ways that reflect their own passions. Through our donation matching program, we also amplify the causes our employees care about most, extending the impact even further.

We believe that giving back shouldn’t come with a script. The causes that matter most are different for every person, and we want to support our employees and the organizations that inspire them. That philosophy mirrors the culture we’ve spent nearly a century building. We believe every person has something valuable to contribute, and we know that when people are empowered to make a difference that the benefits extend far beyond the walls of our business.
As our 100th anniversary draws near, we’re proud of the partnerships we’ve built with customers and manufacturers, but we’re especially proud of the partnerships we’ve built within our community.
VS Cares.
