The D2C Account Manager is responsible for managing relationships with customers who purchase products directly from a company through online channels, primarily by building strong connections, understanding their needs, driving sales growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction within the D2C sales ecosystem including the day-to-day support for D2C accounts.

 

This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of our D2C accounts as well as supporting the development and execution of D2C initiatives and projects. This position will require close collaboration, influence and joint development with internal partners as well as external partners to nurture and grow our D2C channels.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies to grow D2C revenue while enhancing the consumer experience across channels.
  • Product knowledge: proficient in understanding the specifications of the products to manage the online product assortment for each D2C account.
  • Partners with the Buying team to consistently monitor and analyze inventory allocation levels across platforms and recommend re-order levels.
  • Product Listing: create and maintain current online product listing, descriptions and contents on all E-Commerce marketplaces and ensure accuracy including pricing, pictures, keywords, etc.
  • Work closely with Order Management to ensure all orders from each marketplace ship with the appropriate time frame.
  • Customer support: directly assist customers with post-order issues including tracking and potential errors in delivery.
  • Sales conversion: increase sales and decrease irrelevant costs of assigned accounts.
  • Data Analysis: conduct regular analysis on sales activity, proactively addressing areas of concern through analytics and performance metrics.
  • Stay abreast of changing account policies and opportunities as well as industry trends/activities/strategies.
  • Becomes an expert on account systems, procedures, processes to drive opportunities.

Qualifications

    • 3+ years previous experience selling with Distributor or Web-retailer.
    • Consumer electronics or other consumer products sales experience.
    • Understanding and experience within the wholesale distribution market.
    • Excellent communication – both verbal and written; ability to articulate clearly and professionally via telephone and email.
    • Detail oriented and organized.
    • Accurate, efficient – ability to proof own work.
    • Entrepreneurial minded, self-starter attitude.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
    • Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred.
    • Web and internet savvy.
    • 4-year college degree preferred.
